First, "Jim from Wisconsin" tweeted that he "bet" that Roys, who he called a "whore", "enjoyed every minute of the wanding". Second, "The Blum" told Roys via Twitter to "clean your own house first".
Roys responded by tweeting this:
I don't stalk anyone & I don't call you/your wife/sister/mom a whore. You only need answer for your behavior @Patrick501PIR @wijim500
-@keldahelenroys
Even if one disagrees with Kelda Roys's political views, I find it to be absolutely disgusting for a couple of Twitter trolls to talk about her in a blatantly sexist and disrespectful manner. This is 2013, yet many conservatives in this country are stuck in a 19th-century mindset when it comes to the role of women in American society. Today, many women hold many of the same types of jobs that, just a few decades ago, were once considered to be exclusively for men, yet there are many misogynists in this country who hold the long-outdated view that the only three roles for women are to cook, clean, and have children.
I want to send a clear message to "Jim from Wisconsin" and "The Blum": if you can't talk about Kelda Roys in a civil, respectful manner, don't talk about her at all.
